Travel Grants
Since 2004, CEDA has offered the opportunity for travel grants for its annual symposia. Travel grants support the participation in CEDA/FID scientific events and presention of own research results. This way, we facilitate the exchange of information, stimulate scientific discussions and promote collaborations between CEDA countries.
The following terms and conditions apply to applicants:
- Active members or candidates who are about to become a member (20 € annual fee).
- Age below 40 years.
- The applicant must be author of an accepted abstract at the congress.
- The maximal amount for a travel grant is € 500.
Applications for a travel grant have to be sent by email to Claudia Brugger (claudia.brugger@extern.gesundheitsverbund.at) and have to include information on the conference, abstract with approval statement, dated and signed CV, at least two weeks before the meeting.
Visiting Grants
Since 2004, CEDA has offered grants for a temporary fellowship with a maximum length of 3 months in a foreign country. The fellowship has to take place in a hospital or university clinic of one of the CEDA countries for the purpose of medical education and/or research in the area of diabetes. The program aims at extending exchange possibilities within institutions inside the ”CEDA area“.
Terms and conditions for the applicants:
- Active CEDA member or candidate applying for membership (20 € annual fee).
- Age below 45 years.
- Invitation from the hosting institution and description of the contents of the fellowship.
The maximal amount is € 1,500 for each application and applicant.
Applications for a visiting grant have to be sent by email to Claudia Brugger (claudia.brugger@extern.gesundheitsverbund.at) and have to include information as stated above, including a dated and signed CV of the applicant at least six weeks before the beginning of the fellowship.
